Scholarships

Excellent candidates of the International M.Sc. Study Programme PHYSICS can apply for a scholarship offered in cooperation by the Physics Department of the University of Stuttgart and the Max-Planck-Institutes for Solid State Research and Intelligent Systems. This scholarship is intended especially for students, which are interested in continuing their studies towards a PhD in Stuttgart. The scholarship holders get integrated in one of the research groups located at the physics department of the University of Stuttgart or at the Max-Planck-Institutes from the very beginning of their studies. All living expense like housing, food, etc. can be covered by the scholarship. Eligible for the scholarship are undergraduates with excellent results during their BSc studies.

In case you want to apply for this grant, please send your complete application documents for the International M.Sc. Study Programme PHYSICS as soon as possible, including a statement, that you are interested in the scholarship and that we are allowed to forward your application documents to the responsible person at the Max-Planck-Institutes. In addition two recommendation letters and a student's essay, detailing research backround and reason for joining the PHYSICS programme are required. Two committees will decide independently about your admission to the International M.Sc. Study Programme PHYSICS and about your application for the scholarship.
